Obituary

Wesley James,69,of Green Hill,Pricedale,died suddenly Thursday,Feb.17,1972,at 9:05 a.m. in Pittsburgh. A retired coal miner,Mr.James had been a Valley resident since 1926. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,serving as a trustee,treasurer of the deacons board and a member of the ushers board. He also was a member of the George Washington Carver AF&AM. Surviving are his widow,Mrs.Lois James,his mother,Mrs.Polly James,in South Carolina,one brother,Willie James,in New Jersey,and two sisters,Mrs.Mattie Lou Vance and Mrs.Leona Bryant of Philadelphia. Friends will be received at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen,Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held Monday,Feb.21,1972,at 1 p.m.in Antioch Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev.A.C.Morris,pastor,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.Taylor,funeral director.
