Obituary

Morgan Edwin James Sr.,96,of Belle Vernon R.D.2 (Gibsonton),died at his home Monday,Feb.9,1970,at 11:07 a.m. Mr.James had lived in Gibsonton 40 years,moving there from Monessen. He retired 16 years go after being employed at the No.1 rod mill of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Preceding him in death were his wife,Mary Tucker James,Nov.27,1943,and a son,Morgan Edwin James Jr.,Sept.9,1968. Mr.James,who was born May 3,1873,in Hubbard,Ohio,is survived by two daughters,Mrs.Winnifred Lancaster of Gibsonton,with whom he made his home,and Mrs.George (Mary) Ritzer of Gibsonton,nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m.,Feb.10. Service there Thursday,Feb.12,at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Allen Herman,pastor of Baptist Church of Arnold,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director.
