Mrs.Marie L.Jefferson;34;of 712 Upsal St.;Philadelphia;formerly of Belle Vernon;died unexpectedly Tuesday morning;March 28;1967;at her home. Mrs.Jefferson;who was born in Belle Vernon on Jan.11;1933;was graduated from Belle Vernon High School. She went to Philadelphia in 1954 and taught school there in Kerney Elementary School. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. Surviving are her husband;Thomas Jefferson;her parents;Mr.and Mrs.Douglas L.Lemon of 927 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;four brothers;Matthew Lemon of Pricedale;John and George Lemon at home and Jerome Lemon;Sgt.First Class at Fort Bragg;N.C.;a sister;Mrs.Lena Payne of Pittsburgh. The body will be brought to Antrioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;on Monday;April 3;where it will lie in state there until service at 11 a.m.Tuesdy;April 4. The Rev.William Barrax;moderator of the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Asscistion;will officiate;assisted by the Rev.A.C.Morris;pastor of Antioch Baptist Church. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery.
