John Joyner,48,of 208 Twelfth St.,Monessen,died Sunday, March 7,1965 at 12:15 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a short illness. Born in Columbia,S.C.,June 5,1918,he had lived in Monessen since 1936. Surviving are his widow,Alice;three daughters, Mrs. Chester (Margaret) Artis of New Kensington,Mrs. Raymond (Josephine) Davis of Monessen and Mrs. William (Vivian) Warringotn of Arnold,Pa.; two brothers, Arthur of Monessen and James of Pittsburgh;two sisters, Mrs. Florie Goodwin and Josphine Joyner,both of Columbus, S.C. and twelve grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen. Service at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 11,at 1 p.m. in charge of the Rev. D.D. Chatman, pastor of Union Baptist Church,Monessen. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper, funeral director.
