Rita F.Balentine;57;of Star Junction;died Thursday;Jan.25;2001;in Uniontown Hospital. A daughter of the late Samuel P.and Mary Louise Richardson West;she was born in Gillespie on Jan.21;1944. She had lived in Star Junction for more than 22 years and was a member of the Reformed Free Methodist Church. Mrs.Balentine had been a secretary for the Fayette County Housing Authority in Uniontown since 1988. Survivors include her husband;Robert E.Balentine Sr.;a son and daughter-in-law;Robert E.and Melissa Balentine of Scottdale;two daughters;Paul G.and Rebecca R.Balentine;both at home;two brothers and sisters-n-law;Thomas E.and Betty West of Capon Bridge;W.Va.;and Harold and Emma West of Star Junction;three sisters and two brothers-in-law;Alma and Roy Taylor of Belle Vernon;Vivian and Harry Conn of Star Junction and Sharon Absher of Connellsville;and a grandson;Michael Robert Balentine. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.;a Golden Rule Member Firm;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Monday at 11:30 a.m.;with Rev.Herbert Smith;pastor of the Home Mission Church of Alliance;Ohio;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
