Following a lingering illness,Charles T. Jackson,82,a lifelong resident of this vicinity,died Monday, August 21,1961,at 1:15 a.m. at the home of his son, Ralph,at Coal Center. The deceased was born in Monongahela on September 26,1878 and was a retired employee of the Donora plant of the American Steel & Wire Company. He had resided in Coal Center the past 10 years. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Bethel A.M.E.Church,Mononghela,Donora Lodge,I.B.P.O.E. of W.; and the Monongahela Lodge of Masons No. 56. His son, Ralph, survives. Friends are being received at the Bebout & Yohe Company Funeral Home, Second and Chess Streets,Monongahela. Funeral services in the funeral home chapel August 23 at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. J.W. Morehead,pastor,of Bethel A.M.E. Church, Monongahela. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
