James A. Jones, 58, of 434 Hill St., Belle Vernon, died Monday morning,June 6,1960, in Chareroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr. Jones was a member of the Belle Vernon Lions Club, East Belle Vernon Athletic Association, Order Sons of Italy, Belle Vernon and was a social member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He is survived by his wife, Gladys; a daughter, Mrs. Perry (Muriel) Sellman, Perryopolis R. D; two sons, Dan of Belle Vernon R. D. and James R. of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren: two brothers, Leroy Jones, burgess, of North Belle Vernon and William Whyte of Key West, Fla., a sister, Mrs. Jack (Anna) Frazier, Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home, Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, beginning at 1 p. m.on Tuesday. Services will be held Thursday,June 9,at 2 p.m.with the Rev. S.Arthur Talman,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon officiating. Funeral home visiting hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
