Obituary

Vincent J.Isenberg,74,chief of police of Belle Vernon Borough 25 years,retiring in 1966,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Thursday Feb.12,1970,at 6:15 p.m. Mr.Isenberg lived at 328 Main St.,Belle Vernon. He was an elder and trustee of First Christian Church of Belle Vernon and belonged to Fraternal Order of Police of the Mon Valley. Surviving are his widow,Hazel Murray Isenberg,a grandson,Arthur J.,and a granddaughter,Mrs.Alfred (Linda Lou) Alvarez,both of Kansas City,Mo.,two sisters,Mrs.Ruth Destefano and Mrs.Helen Malone of Monessen,three brothers,Wayne of Fellsburg,Jack of Huntingdon,Pa.,Howard of New York state. Friends will be received at Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m. Feb.13 and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Feb.14. Service there Sunday,Feb.15,at 2 p.m. with the Rev.John Bowers,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Christian Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is funeral director.
