Alexander Irvine;64;of 2172 Burnice Dr.;Clearwater;Fla.;formerly of Charleroi;died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital;Saturday;April 21;1962;at 3:22 a.m. He was born in Renfrew;Scotland;July 16;1897;the son of James and Mary Smart Irvine. He retired a year ago from the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Co.;and shortly afterward moved to Florida. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan of Clearwater;the Monessen Lodge 638.;F.and A.M.;the Ancient Acdepted Scottish Rite of Pittsburgh;and Syria Temple;Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of World War I;and served in the Canadian Navy. Survivors include his widow;Mrs.Elizabeth Harvey Irvine;one daughter;Mrs.David (Mary) Geer;Glassport;one brother;James Irvine;Scotland;two sisters;Mrs.Eliza Hitchman;Toronto;Can.;Mrs.Victor Black;Sunland;Calif.;and 3 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.;and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Monday;April 23;at 1 p.m.in charge of the Rev.John P.Thomas;pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church of Monessen. Monessen Lodge 638;F.&A.M.will hold Masonic services in the funeral home;Sunday evening at 7:30 o’clock. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock of Charleroi is the funeral director.
