George Homa;68;of Belle Vernon R.D.2 (Rostraver Township);died suddenly Wednesday;Aug.31;1977 at 8:32 p.m. in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Mr.Homa was born March 31;1909 in Banning. He was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church;F.& A.M.lodge 643;Belle Vernon;and the Uniontown Scottish Rite. He had been a resident of Rostraver Twp.for the last 43 years. Mr.Homa was retired as an electrician from the Page Plant of American Chain & Cable Co.;Monessen. Survivors include his widow;Ruth Allen Homa;one daughter;Mrs.Charles (Sheryl) Chapman of Penn Hills;two sisters;Mrs.Barbara Kovalcik of Monongahela and Mrs.Mary Ritchie of Donora;and one grandson;Cody Blaine Chapman. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev.Hartzell A.Michael of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
