Charles M. Hixenbaugh,78,of 1657 Longwood Road, Mayfield Heights,Ohio,formerly of Charleroi,died Wednesday,April 20,1977 at 9:50 a.m.in the Hillcrest Hospital,Mayfield Heights.He was born on Gibsonton on June 29,1898, son of the late Robert and Jennie Carnes Hixenbaugh. He resided in the Mayfield Heights area the past 23 years,moving there from Charleroi. He had worked for the Reick-McJunkin Corp. at Charleroi and while at Mayfield Heights,was a funiture salesman.He is survived by his widow, Clyota Porter Hixenbaugh,two sons,Charles M. Hixenbaugh of Bethel Park and Gary Hixenbaugh of Erie,one daughter,Mrs. Raymond (Gail) Neville of Mayfield Village, Ohio,five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,on Friday from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m.,the hour of services. Officiating will be Pastor R. Dawson Hopson of the First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
