Obituary

Ernest Horn,83,of 29 Knox Ave.,Monessen,died Tuesday,May 15,1973,at 6:15 a.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He had been ill the past month. Mr.Horn was born in Clarksville on Dec.14,1889. He was the son of the late David Newton and Elizabeth Fulton Horn. He retired from the Irvin Works of United States Steel. He was a member of First Baptist Church,Monessen. He was preceded in death by a son,Eugene,in 1962. Surviving are his widow,Robenia Duncan Horn,one son,Fred Horn of Monessen,two daughters,Mrs.John (Dorothy) Lender of Monessen and Mrs.Burton (Marjorie) Hazlett of Bryan,Ohio,three brothers,Frank and Leslie E.,both of Amity,and Carl of Waynesburg,one sister,Cora Horn of Amity,11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home,Monessen,after 2 p.m.Wednesday. Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev.Edward A.Pollock Jr.,pastor of First Baptist Church,Monessen,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome funeral directors in charge.
