Buford R.Hoffman;73;of 1428 Harrison Ave.;Monessen;died Sunday;May 21;1972;at 5:20 p.m. in Allegheny General Hospital;Pittsburgh. He had been in declining health. Born In Huntington County;Pa.;he was a Monessen resident since 1920. He had been employed as an engineer for the Monessen Southwestern Railroad at the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel until his retirement in 1963. He was preceded in death by a daughter;Mrs.Evelyn Michalski;in October of 1962. Surviving are his widow;Beulah Brown Hoffman;two daughters;Mrs.Donald (Marion) Isaho of Monessen and Mrs.Russell (Gloria) Mace of Tampa;Fla.;three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;where a service will be held in the chapel Wednesday;May 24;at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Joseph C.Rial officiating.
