Edgar C.Houseman;77;of 126 Prospect Ave.;Charleroi;died Wednesday;Sept.8;1971;at 6:10 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a lingering illness. He was employed as a conductor by the Penn Central Railroad until his retirement in 1965 and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen;Monongahela. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth. Surviving are his widow;Theresa Thomas Houseman;two daughters;Mrs.Thelma Gobert at home and Mrs.Woodrow (Wilhmina) Hughes of Fellsburg;two sons;Edgar A.Houseman of Brussels;Belgium;and Norman W.Houseman of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;where a service will be held Saturday;Sept.11;at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev.Francis Blair of the Charleroi Presbyterian Church in charge.
