Edward T.Hixenbaugh;40;of Railroad St.;Elco;died at his home Tuesday;July 16;1968;about 3 a.m.after a brief illness. An employee of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.;Mr.Hixenbaugh was a veteran of World War II and a member of Charleroi’s American Legion Post. He was born in Belle Vernon on Feb.23;1928;a son of the late Church and Essie Amalong Hixenbaugh. Surviving are his widow;Margaret Kojalsky Hixenbaugh;two sons;Thomas and Michael at home;a brother;Jay of Charleroi;one sister;Mrs.John (Mildred) Dankanich of Roscoe. Friends will be received at the Ruth Ekert Funeral Home;Roscoe;after 7 p.m.July 17;and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.July 18. Service there Friday;July 19;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Lynn Chester Edwards;priest in charge of Trinity Episcopal Church;Monessen;and St.John’s;Donora. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Ruth and Emil Eckert are funeral directors.
