Obituary
Andy Holan,81,of 502 East Gate Manor, Monessen,died Sunday,Feb.4,1968 at 7:05 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Born in Czechoslovakia on March 15,1886,he came to Monessen in 1900. He was a member of Slovak Presbyterian Church and Lodge 22 S.K.P. Jednota,both of Monessen. Surviving are his widow,Barbara;three sons,John of Charleroi,Paul of Monessen,and George of Cleveland,Ohio;three daughters, Mrs. William (Anna) Valko of Canoga Park,Calif.,Mrs. Elmer (Mary) Nogay of Monessen,and Mrs. Steve (Elizabeth) Syabosol of Belle Vernon;a brother,Paul in Canada;five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home,Monessen,after 7 p.m. Monday,Feb.5. Service there Wednesday,Feb.7,at 1:30 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m. in Slovak Presbyterian Church,Monessen.The Rev. S. Arthur Talman will officiate. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Prayers at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Feb. 6. Edwin Melenyzer is the funeral director.
