Taylor C.Hogg,63,of 310 Market St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly Sunday,Jan.14,1968 at 4:45 p.m.in Magee Hospital,Pittsburgh. Mr.Hogg was the first fire chief of Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept.No.2,a post he held from 1940 to 1949. He was then an honorary member of the fire company. Mr.Hogg also belonged to the Methodist Church of Vincennes,Ind.,and Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No.9 of Mt.Vernon,Ohio. He was a glass cutter with American St.Gobian Co.,of Jeannette. Mr.Hogg was born in Pricedale on April 20,1904. Surviving are his widow,Margaret Hogg:a daughter,Ellen Mae at home. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.Jan.15 at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Service there Wednesday,Jan.17,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Richard B.Snyder,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Methodist Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director.
