Mrs. Hess had worked 36
years as an industrial nurse for
the Monessen and Allenport
plants of Pittsburgh Steel Co.
A graduate of the West Penn
Hospital School of Nursing;
Pittsburgh;she was a member
of St. Leonard’s Roman
Catholic Church of Monessen.
Mrs. Hess was born in Rochester;
Pa.;Nov.17;1906.
Surviving are her husband;
Samuel of York; five sisters;
Mrs. Roy (Laverne) Hixenbaugh
of Belle Vernon R. D. 2;
Mrs. Frank (Betty) Maund of
Lynnwood; Mrs. Harry (Mary
Ann) Kreuter of Monessen; Mrs.
Rice of Monessen;with whom
she had been making her home;
and Mrs. Thomas (Coletta)
Brooks of Belle Vernon R. D.;
three brothers;Alvin L. Roberts
of Monessen; a printer at
the Valley Independent; James
E. Roberts of Detroit;Mich.;
and George (Jack) Roberts of Pricedale. Friends are being received at the R.A.Billick Funeral Home;Monessen;where a Blessing service will take place Thursday;June 10;1965;at 10:30 a.m.followed by Requiem High Mass at 11 a.m.in St.Leonard’s R.C.Church;Monessen.
