Mrs. Theola Hughes, 63,28 South Hill Terrace, Brownsville,died Monday Nov. 16,1964 at her home. She was born March 20,1901 in Spartansburg, S.C. She was a member of the Macedonia Pentecostal Church in Arnold City,its Missionary Society and Usher Board. Her husband, the Rev. John J. Hughes,preceded her in death in 1948. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Rose Thompson of Pittsburgh, Mrs. June Mickens of Brownsville,Mrs. Betty Simpson of Brownsville, Mrs. Helen Carpenter of Monessen and Ruth Hughes at home; five sons,James of Philadelphia,Jerry and Joseph of New York,Robert of the u.S. armed forces in Germany and Larry at home;one sister, Mrs. Pauline Simmons of New York,18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Law Funeral Home,Brownsville,beginning Friday after 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Macedonia Pentecostal Church of Arnold City.
