Obituary

Charles Hubans,Jr.,46,of 2700 Ridge Rd.,Damascus, Md.,formerly of Monessen,died unexpectedly in Suburben Hospital,Bethesda,Md., Friday, June 28,1963 at 6:30 p.m. He was born in Monessen Dec. 25,1916,and moved to Maryland ten years ago.  While a Monessen resident he was a member of the St. John the Divine R.O.Church. He was employed by the United States government as a supervisor with the Atomic Administration in the Maryland area. He was a veteran of World War II, and served wit the U.S. Infanty in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.  He was a member of the American Legion Post of Damascus. Surviving are his widow, Ruth Taylor Hubans,three daughters, Charlene, Brenda and Mary Jane at home, his mother,Mrs. Sophia Hubans of Monessen, seven brothers, John of Monessen,Michael of Hyattsville,Md.,Frank and Milton of Monessen,Paul of Fairless Hills,Alex of Monessen and Stephan Hubans of McKeesport and one sister, Mrs. Travis (Mary Jane) Smoot of Stone Mountain,Ga. Friends will be received at the Billick Funeral Home, Monesssen.  Blessing service there Tuesday, July 2 at 8:30 a.m.,will be followed by Requiem Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m.,in the St. John the Divine R.C.Church,in charge of Rev. John W. Govrusik.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Billick Funeral Home of Monessen is in charge.
