A former Monessen City employee was killed when struck by a car Monday night, December 1,1958 in Utica,New York. Calvin Morris Hill,32, who left Monessen several years ago to work in Utica,was killed about 5 p.m. He is survived by his wife and eight children. Also surviving are his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Clarence E. Hill,322 Third St.,Monessen and two brothers, Lorenzo Hill of Morgan Ave.,Monessen and Clarence William Hill of Suffern, New York. Friends are being received at the DuBoise Carter Funeral Home,Monessen,from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 5,at 11 a.m. from the Wayman A.M.E. Church,Monessen. The Rev. Issac Louden will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. DuBoise Carter,funeral director.
