Gary Galensky Sr., 70, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp. died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio. Born November 14, 1946 in Vestaburg, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Isabel Lingis Galensky. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 17 years, Mr. Galensky was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, Belle Vernon Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 209, Naomi Athletic Club, Pricedale Russian Club and the Arnold City Polish Club. He is survived by his two sons and daughters in law Gary Galensky Jr. & Wife Elizabeth of Los Altos, California, Brian & Cheryl Galensky of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren Derek Lee Galensky, Lauren Lee Galensky, Calvin Brewer Galensky; brother Duane Galensky of Beallsville and a sister Catherine Hamilla of East Lake, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his wife Karen Louise Cicci Galensky 11/16/2009. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 1 PM. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of the Belle Vernon American Legion will conduct services Wednesday evening at 7 pm in the funeral home.
