Obituary

Frances B.Wallace, 89 of North Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully Friday, December 8, 2017 with her family at her side. She was the adored wife of the late Chester Wallace, her proud Marine, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. She was born in Belle Vernon on January 23, 1928 to Frank and Elvira Bello. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, she began her career there as a telephone operator and supervisor at Bell Telephone where her beloved brothers Frank and Anthony Bello were also employed. A graduate of North Belle Vernon High School, she later studied banking at Penn State University and worked in the banking industry for many years. She served as a deacon and in the Women's Association of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon where she was dedicated to helping those in need through missionary work and support. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her talent for sewing and knitting, her creative and loving spirit, and her perpetual generosity and kindness. She was always there to lend a hand, help a friend, support her family and have a fresh pot of coffee ready for anyone who came to call. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are her brothers Frank and Anthony Bello. She missed them so dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Harry Jones of Cecil, PA, a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Lisa Wallace of Hubbard, Ohio, and her cherished friends and extended family. The family wishes to extend appreciation to Concordia Hospice of Washington, PA and her caregivers for their loving care. Friends may visit from 10:30 A.M. Monday, the time of services, in the First Presbyterian Church, 511 Fayette St, Belle Vernon with Rev. Suzanne Currie officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to Concordia Hospice of Washington, 10 Leet St., Washington, PA 15301 or a Veteran's organization of one's choice. Spend time with your loved ones, take a long walk on a beach, watch a sunrise and make a toast to enduring love and family. That's what our mom would have wanted.
