Obituary

Alma M. Kobosky McLaughlin, 93, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at her home.  Born April 4, 1926 in Fairhope, PA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Sleyzak Kobosky.  A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. McLaughlin was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon and was retired from Corning Glass, Charleroi, where she worked as an inspector.  Alma also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos. She is survived by two daughters & son in law Patricia & Karl Polacek of Belle Vernon, Kathleen Monette of Florida; son James McLaughlin of Florida; seven grandchildren Kelly Bedner & Tom Kearns, Amy & Dave Curry, Edward Roberts, James Roberts, Kristie Rupchand, Farrah Tyrpin, Mindy Travis Turner; 11 great grandchildren and a sister Sara Farkos of Las Vegas, NV.  She is preceded in death by her husband Robert C.  McLaughlin; son Robert McLaughlin, three brothers Walter Kobosky, Stanley Kobosky, Carl Kobosky; three sisters Kay Olesko, Ann Moyer and Helen Vollmar. Visitation will be held Monday from 10-11 am at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Elmer Alforque of St. Sebastian R.C. Church officiating.  Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The family would like to thank Dr. DeRienzo and Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion.
